VITILIGO-THERAPY
Explanation of terms :
What is vitiligo?
This is the so-called " white spot disease " . The frequency of occurrence of disease of the skin pigment system worldwide is approximately 1 %.
By a chronic progressive course it leads to the destruction of skin pigment cells (the melanocytes) . The consequence are blank, depigmented spots. Due to the distinct cosmetic disorder vitiligo often leads to a strong psychological burden on patients , also good sun protection is necessary , the missing pigments can no longer do their job .
Suspected causes of vitiligo :
Genetics / heredity
thyroid diseases
diabetes
Autoimmune processes
Stress (including pregnancy, harmful diseases , etc.)
oxidative stress
pathogenic intestinal flora
skin lesions
Metabolic disorders
hormonal causes
possibly too high H2O2 ( hydrogen peroxide) - content in the cells
Our therapy focuses on the individual causes that are disease-inducing for the respective patient. So it is NOT a flat approach to therapy , so we can not specify a blanket treatment concept. The first comprehensive examination of our special practice lays the foundation for our VITIRECED® therapy .
The VITIRECED® therapy
VITIRECED® of " Viti " (vitiligo) and " reced " (Latin recedere , retreat , soft back). This therapy was developed by us . They must be carried out exclusively by us under this name.
What is this therapy? In the beginning
a comprehensive investigation
individual therapy , consisting of:
the individual composition of a natural remedy
a gentle irradiation with UV light , see below.
In most cases, we can dispense with a pre-treatment by other therapeutic measures . A detoxification and drainage carried out, as reliably applied medicines , as well as compliance with the guidelines given by us.
In order to ensure that the melanocytes / pigment cells resume their work, the irradiation with UV light is necessary. For the treatment of vitiligo two types are suitable: UV -A radiation and UV -B narrow spectrum light ( 311nm ) . UV-B light of this wavelength is also used to treat psoriasis or atopic dermatitis. Experience shows that even a sole UV-A irradiation is sufficient.
These UV -B ( 311nm ) irradiation can be administered by your dermatologist on site, we also recommend the irradiation in a modern tanning salon or using a home irradiation system, such you can buy (new or used) in our office.
IMPORTANT: The re-pigmentation and tanning spots may progress at different rates, the contrast may even increase , as well as the tans " healthy " skin!
This is not a reason to give up. Depending on the nature of the affected body region , a first success is often only after 6-8 weeks, sometimes months later. So please perform the therapy at least half a year through!
Only the combination of these two components are a guarantee for success!
